John G. Thomas was born in Cuthbert, Georgia, August 2, 1883, and died in Orlando, Florida, February l2, 1967. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Thomas. In his early manhood he heard the message of the three angels preached under a tent in Miami, Florida, by J. S. Green. He immediately felt the burden to tell others the "good news" and became a lay preacher. In due time he was employed as a full-time worker and became an outstanding leader and evangelist among us. His work was largely in the Southern Union where thousands were baptized by him. He served as the Southern Union secretary and evangelist of the Regional department for a number of years. He pastored churches in several of the conferences. His life was an inspiration to all who knew him. He leaves to mourn his loss,
his devoted wife, two daughters, one sister, five grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
