Lucy Byard (1877-1943)

Lucille Lewis Byard was born in Petersburg, Virginia, on September 22, 1877, and passed away October 20, 1943.

She accepted the third angel's message in 1902 in New York City, and was an earnest, sincere believer and a faithful worker in the cause of the Lord. She always trusted the Lord, never complained, and supported the work of the Master. She was loved by all who knew her.

Besides her devoted husband [James H. Byard, born 1871; married on September 23, 1928, in Manhattan, New York City], she leaves to mourn four sisters, two brothers, and a host of friends.

Words of comfort were spoken by Elder J. E. Cox, and Sister Byard was laid to rest in the Evergreen Cemetery, Brooklyn, New York.
